One on One Mentoring
For many years, some at Texas Photo Workshops have enjoyed working with individual photographers to help them attain their next step with photography...guiding and supporting your dreams and aspirations as a photographer. A mentorship is often goal-oriented; it could lead to exhibiting in a gallery, printing in a magazine, publishing your book, building a stronger portfolio for graduate school, developing a business plan to start your photography career, or simply creating a memorable portfolio of personal images under the watchful eye of a photography master. We will begin with a discussion of your photographic aspirations and a review of your work. Based on our initial session, your mentor will give you assignments, following up with critiques to strengthen your style as well as help you achieve your other photographic goals. Over time, your mentor will guide and inspire you and by working together diligently. Repetition is the key to success!
TPW offers three Program options for Mentoring
Year-long mentorship of 17 sessions with your mentor. This includes 60 minute phone or Skype consultations approximately every three weeks, photographic assignments, and critiques of online images.
Six-month mentorship of 8 sessions. This includes 60 minute phone or Skype consultations approximately every three weeks, photographic assignments, and critiques of online images.
Single sessions of 60 minutes each.
Topics covered are limitless, depending on your individual needs and questions, and all communications occur via phone or online. Your mentorship will likely focus on refining your personal vision and style; however, technical questions, business and marketing strategies, advice on book publishing or exhibiting your images, and life coaching may also be part of the mentor relationship. Our mentors bring their lifelong career experiences in photography to help you develop and expand your passion/skills for creating memorable photos.
